BLUE SOMBRERO FAQ

HOW TO MAKE A PAYMENT AND UPDATE MY CREDIT INFORMATION WHEN MY CARD HAS BEEN DECLINED:

If your credit card information has changed and your payment has been declined, please go to your Blue Sombrero account at https://sports.bluesombrero.com/Default.aspx?tabid=812902

Go to MY ACCOUNT and look to the right of the page where it says OPEN BALANCE and click on the month that was declined and manually pay for that month, THEN YOU MUST click on the following month and click on EDIT CREDIT CARD INFO and re-enter your new credit card info then the rest of the payments will be updated.

IF YOU KNOW AHEAD OF TIME THAT YOUR CREDIT CARD INFORMATION HAS CHANGED:

Go to MY ACCOUNT and look to the right of the page where it says OPEN BALANCE and click on the next month payment,

and  click on EDIT CREDIT CARD INFO and enter your new credit card info then the rest of the payments will be updated.

UNION FC OFFERS PARENTS OPPORTUNITIES TO EARN MONEY TOWARD THE COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH COMPETITIVE SOCCER.

OVATIONS

As a sports and entertainment venue, Ovations provides Union FC parents openings to work in designated concession stands at Cal Expo.  Some of these events include:  Sacramento Republic games, California State Fair, special events/dances, etc. The duties are simple and generally involve dispensing alcoholic beverages and managing a smart cash register. Many Union FC parents have participated at various events and have reported a sense of camaraderie and teamwork, as they are also earning money for their children’s soccer. You are welcome to join the Ovations Union FC parents’ team, positions are available.

In order to qualify to work at these events you must meet the following requirements:

• Participants must be at least 21 years old

• Participants must have a valid driver’s license

Participants must pass the online food/alcohol certifications courses as follows:

• Alcohol training certification:
  www.servetrain.com – ServeTrain Responsible Beverage Service Training certification – approximately 2.5 hours – in English only – $14 California certification fee covered by the parent

• Food training certification:
  www.servsafe.com – ServeSafe Food Handler® California Online Course and Assessment – approximately 30 minutes – in English, Spanish and Simplified Chinese – $15 certification fee covered by the parent

 You must take both courses in order to be eligible to be part of the Ovations team. Once you obtain the completion certificates, please save the PDF version in your computer and email them to the Union FC Ovations Coordinator Rudy Avila at rudedogavi@gmail.com with your request to be included in the program.

 HOW DOES IT WORK?

Ovations will pay Union FC a percentage of the net profit from the event. The total club earnings are distributed evenly amongst the parents that worked the event. The amount each parent earns is then credited to your Blue Sombrero account. The tip obtained is evenly divided at the end of the event and it is yours to keep. The hourly rate earned varies depending on the total sales. In the past, parents have made $8.00 -$20.00 an hour and some Union FC accounts have been completely paid off with Ovations work.
