UNION FC COMPETITIVE PROGRAMS
U9-U11 UNION FC PROGRAMS
The U9-U11 Competitive program continues to build on the youth academy’s soccer methodology and it’s approach to developing soccer players. UNION FC staff will continue to focus on individual skills, while encouraging tactics through small sided games. A fitness component is introduced at this level.
U12-U13 UNION FC PROGRAMS
The U12-U13 Academy will continue to work with players on their individual skills as the demand and difficulties of the game begins to increase. U12's are in their final year of the 9v9 game model. U13 introduces the first year of full 11v11 play and thus the importance of possession and awareness of thirds become important as players travel through the program. Fitness becomes specific at these ages.
U14-U19 UNION FC PROGRAMS
The U14-U19 Academy continues to build upon the soccer principles form the younger academy program. Individually players are asked to improvise on the ball and tactically start to understand systems of play.
